Figure I'll post on a new thread.. MAC got me going, I didn't want to hijack the thread.

I'm new to the turtle world and only had these three for one week. They are captive bred and kept in freshwater. I provide a basking area for them and they all utilize it. This helps cut down on the chances of fungus shell rot. Plus I keep their tanks as clean as possible. Hope I can raise them to the adult beauties I've seen on the net.

Awesome! Theyre beautiful and adorable :)

^^ agree for sure. Beautiful.
Do you have a basking lamp/light in their basking area. What temperature water do these guys like?

Thanks for the kind words..

Davo, I have a 75watt UVA/UVB reptile basking spot light. Keeps basking area at 85 degress, I keep their water temp at 78 degrees.

Great looking turtles Greyhoundfan! Your setup is nice too. They look to be the ornate subspecies but I could be wrong. Wow, you guys really make me want to go out and purchase one of these little beauties!
