So, I finally bought a lungfish after many years of dreaming. It's a baby dolloi and it is a chart-breaking 3 inches long. At the moment he is paddling his prehistoric ass through a 20 gallon (long) tank and I am happy to report that he is rocking it old school. I will dress him up in a top hat and a monocle for some photo-op's later. The important question now is what do I name it? The named being kicked around by the think tank at the moment are as follows:
1. Lord Tiddlywinks
2. William Howard Taft
3. Heylookatmeimcool
4. ???
I asked the guy at the LFS what it was eating and he said it was currently on frozen foods. To make sure it was eating I had him feed it and it did indeed eat some blood worms. I picked up one of those frozen freshwater multi-packs so I could play around with feeding and get a feel for what it likes. Can anyone suggest some other things I can feed it? Will little guys eat shrimp pellets and other sinking wafers?
For the record, after the 20g long I've got a 55g and a 125g for it to grow out into. I shall make plans post-125 when the time comes. Thanks guys!
