Baby Dovii.

Meet Peanut my baby Dovii. It's in a 65 gallon until I figure out Male or Female then to a bigger or much bigger tank. Just eating flakes and small pellets.

Thanks, yes it's my first Dovii. It's tiny so I'm thinking about a inch per month so I'm good in the 65 until Spring.

I moved Peanut to a 125. Is the fish to small to tell male or female? Thanks.

Look around on the forums there is a way you can tell the sex of a juvinile dovii. I can't think of it off the top of my head but someone should be able to tell you. I love that lil guy and I hope to have one some day

Let it get to 3-4" and look for spots. In my experience with the wolf, spots on the body and especially on the fins will indicate male.
This pic is my newest Costa Rican blue Dovii which found himself a nice yellow Nicaraguan female. Had to grow out 4 just to get one female. Good luck and have fun with your peanut!!

Nice looking fish you have. I noticed that peanut is getting small blue dots under it's eyes and on it's gills.

It's a start but the spots is the best way besides venting yo indicate male
