I've been having this guy for a couple weeks now and words can't even explain how excited I am to have this cool little guy.. Idk the sex so I haven't named it yet. It's currently in a ten gallon grow out tank until it gets bigger. Considering buying a 75 or 90 to house him in.. Here's a pic. Feedback please

E-cats are nearly impossible to sex for a layman http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=109. What makes you call it a "dwarf"? I cannot ID them to the species level (a recent revision split them up into 19 species from just one) but I've never heard of one that can be reliably called a dwarf.

Many if not most/all of them indeed fail to grow to 2'-3' in hobbyists' hands. IDK why. There are 3'-ers in Public Aquaria but those are very rare.

There you have it lol.. I've seen on many post that the most common species of Malapteruridae are dwarfs. I could be wrong but the shop I got him from says he won't get over 13"
