Was at a LFS the other day and saw a batch of Fei Feng with extremely nice patterns and colors. Been wanting one for so long, but whenever i see them their colors are washed out, almost to the point of being patternless.
Anyways, here he is.
Sad thing is, Fei Fengs are slime suckers, so he's not compatible with almost all my fish :(

tell me about it... FF killed some of my fish.... but they are good tank cleaner thou...

My flagtail recently got sucked up by the filter, he was one of the best I had seen and had a very unique very high fin :(

Nice find though

Trust, i did buy it, its in a 20g with a baby bichir right now, under close supervision. I couldn't help it i like them so much. Not sure what its fate will be though, i may try to keep it in my bichir comm, but most likely not, it'll probably get a 75-90g with some other fish

Neo, what fish did it kill>?

And Steve, yours may have been a "high fin" flagtail, i've seen a couple pics of them

NOICE!! I love Fei Feng!! What do you mean they are slime suckers though? LIke, they eat the slime coats off of fish? Hmm....is there certain fish they do it to more than others? Cuz i really want to get a group of 6 or more for my 300gal....but I don't want to have them be the only fish.

When kept in groups they have been known to take eachother out....

I have pix of a group of 5 or so that are around 30cm+ that get along fine though so maybe at bigger sizes they get along better.

Thats why they would be in the bigger tank..more space less aggression. Plus the bigger groups would help to disperse the aggression among themselves. But you never answered the part about them being slime eaters...:P

Ive never seen them suck on any of my fish before. I dont think it would be a major prob unless you have rays. Just from my exp though.
