just picked a couple up. they dnt look so nice n red yet tho. but i can tell they are fire'z. any tips on caring for them ? they are only 3 inch never got them this small before i have a tire track right now at 8 inch got him at like 5 inch and he eats feeders and any thing he can get into his little mouth.

frozen bloodworms, live blackworms are gonna be your best bet at that size. forget feeder fish atm, you can try guppies but likely they won't take those either, unless you have a breeding colony in the tank. then they may take freshly born guppies. personally I've never seen them that little myself.

i have fancy guppies breeding. and yeah i am going to b mostly feeding bloodworms

and my tips from my larger gusy is lots of smooth hideing spots, no lava rock, no slate, nothign they can rough themselves up on. fine gravel, sand ( that isn't silica, it can cut them up), barebottom. I use alot of driftwood and pvc pipes for my big guys and they love the stuff and haven't had any issues with it. Once you get them eating, should be easy to keep fed happily. babies= more feeidng less often. pretty standard stuff. ;)

Oh yeah and hand-feeding is great to get them accustomed too. my 3 now try anything I have in my hand since they know thats where their food comes from. they naturally took to it, food dropped into tank.. few days later they where out in open.. few days later inching up sides.. few days later snatchign it soon as I let go.. now they play tug O war w/ nightcrawlers with me lol.
