i have kept some of the most difficult freshwater fish, but I can't raise baby livebeares. How do you raise them?:help2:

maintain water quality and high quality feeding, and should work...what are the problems you're having with them?

feed feed feed.. and maintain WQ. My guppies get fed every time I walk past the tank. I also keep live plants/driftwood in the tanks to scavange off of. my feeder/livebearer tanks get just as well filtered as my "real" tanks do if not more so. I put a sponge over the uptake tube that gets rinsed weekly or more, so babies don't get sucked up. and lots and lots of hideing spots from the parents.

Young fish are sensitive to poor water quality so with young fry id do small daily waterchanges of say around 15%. Too much will stress the fish and make you potentially lose them all.

What people also forget is that a lot of live bearers come from area's with a higher PH and harder water. So keeping your PH around 7.8 also helps greatly! They also do well on a diet high in spiruleena.
