baby flowerhorn constipated

My baby titanium flowerhorn always seems to get constipated. Instead of just pooping regularly daily, he poops a hugh one once a week. Always has a healthy appetite, any ideas? One week I fed him nothing but brine shrimp and he still gets constipated.

On another note, my titanium dorsal and anal fins seems to be getting shorter. He had a streamer on both the dorsal and anal fin, but both streamers seems to be disappearing. Can it be fin rot even though his fins aren't ragged but just the streamers are disappearing? I do 25% water changes weekly.

Also at what size/age do titanium flowerhorns start getting a kok?

feed him peas, veggie based foods. Anything with fiber.

Your fish might have parasites. It's really common with thai silks. How long have you had him and did you treat/deworm him when you got him?

2-3 months now. I keep temperatures at 85-86F. I really doubt he has parasites since after he poops, his appetite goes back to normal. Now to mention poop is always thick and dark. Even with new life spectrum pellets he only poops once a week.

What about the fins issue. He used to have long flowing fins, but the long streamer part seems to be disappearing and getting shorter.

And around what age/size does a titanium's kok start showing?
