hi all, i have just got hold of 43 fronts around about 2 months old and approx 1" long some a bit smaller. what is the best food to give i have only fed algea pellets (pleco food) which i crushed up but have no idea what to give them to bring them on:confused: i live in the uk and not the best source of live foods so looking for good dry food although i have frozen brine shrimp but i was told not to give anything like that and stick to crushed food for now? is this true please someone.

they are big enough to eat small pellets. also if you can find frozen foods like mysis shrimp, etc.

They need more than just algae they need a diet fairly high in protein as well.

you can try to NLS i dink the 1mm sinking ones.. when i got my front, they were about 1-1.5 and they were eatting the NLS like crazy... algae is not goin to cut it like mdb_talon said... if you dont like that, then try flakes??...

I would feed them crushed flake and crushed brine shrimp untill they get some more size. I don't think the algea is the best idea....fronts are more Carnivoius in the wild from what I have read...I would not feed them live food though.

I feed my baby fronts NLS Thera-A, either 1mm or 2mm. They are on it like vultures.
