Ok this has probably been answered 50 times in this forum section, but after looking at 3 pages worth of threads i'm too lazy to continue...

I got a baby Gar, about 3-4" long. My first Gar, so not used to those. He's in with a jubenile Aro, and when I feed the Aro either pellets or bloodworms he couldn't care less. When I dump in a Danio, he goes for it and it's a goner in about 3 seconds.

I don't like feeding live, and I hear Gars can be turned away from feeders...but what would they eat then? Bloodworms? Shrimps? And do I dare...pellets?

Just want to have your input on possibilities...

you can do it

Well i gto mine from the lfs and i fed him live feeders. I didnt go to get more feeders for about a week and when i was gana go get sum i saw him eating pellets so i just said forget it and now he eats em when ever they are in a tank. Just takes time.

Great thanks for the reply guys...

Try fasting them for a couple of days. It always worked for me. Be persistant, it will happen.
