hey guys i just got a new baby florida gar around 2-3 inches long. I was wondering what food would you recomend for the younger gars?

I would start with smaller rosey reds, I think they are the perfect baby gar food. You can also try bloodworms or black worms.

i weaned mine off of live with cut up silversides. now they eat freeze dried krill and frozen krill. they also eat cut up tilapia. i've never got mine to eat bloodworms or pellets.

be patient. it might take awhile to get your gar to eat something other than live. they can be finnicky when you first get them. my first gar did not eat for 2 weeks. they second one went almost 3.
