Baby Gars

Here are my baby gars (4") eating bloodworms. I am growing them out along with an ornate bichir to go into my 270g with a super red aro, a severum, a tinfoil barb and 2 motoro rays (also being grown out). I guess it will be a while before they will be safe with the other fish.

they grow really quick. mine grew from 5" to 7" in a months time... just keep them well fed and reg. water change.

Wow and already on Blood Worms your lucky....

As for tankmates... They will never be big enough for a Moto Ray.

at that size i would switch them to feeder rosies (fathead minnows) as they will grow much faster (and generally these fish tend to GARner more nutrition from them) and fit into your big tank sooner. you may also want to experiment with some pellets as well. nice looking fish--

Very nice! Feed them feeder or train them to eat pellets. They will grow fast.

Oh wow they are so tiny. And by the looks of it they love those blood worms.
