1. im not quite sure on how much gators go for cuz i have never seen any for sale. but i would pay 26.40 for one.
2. i would go with mosquito larvea, guppies, or baby brine shrimp.
3. what are the dimensions of the 700g.

I'm thinking of buying a a baby Alligator Gar soon to put in my Stock Tank. but I have a few questions.

1. This is the site I'm thinking of buying from. It this a good site? and is that over priced? any other sites are welcome.

2. What do I feed a baby Gator Gar of that size in the picture on the site.

3. To what size can I keep it in my 700gl Stock tank?

Thanks,

was the last time that was added... I think you may want to look elsewhere...

Additionally put a small gar in a 700Gl stock tank with a "small supply" of guppies and watch it disappear.

Not sure if Thats a good price ( for a few years ago) , there alot more $$$ over here.

Feed them blood worms ,small floating pellets when there small , easy as!

Whats in your "stock" tank?

imo no point getting a 10gal for a gator. start w a 75 and have lots of floating plants and cover and you should be fine.

Um yes growing a very small one out in a 10 or 20 gallon is fine.... It is recommended actually... The fish need a lot of food.. to get a lot of food it needs to be in an area that will allow it to do so...

The 5 gallon is a joke BTW....However I do routinely use these tanks in raising small gar..

Mosquito Larvea would work great. I did that with a baby gar that I caught and it loved them. I hear the brine shrimp over time does not give them enough nutrients so if you are to feed them that be sure to give them something else semi-frequently.

You should be giving them a variety anyhow... Mossy larvae alone or Brine alone is inadequate...
