I have been home all day and have not noticed anything wrong with the tank or fish but I just went to watch a movie, came back and he was dead on the bottom, he showed no injuries and was still stable
all the other dats seem fine and dandy

what the heck happened?

in the meantime I bumped the temp and added an air pump
and these guys are just around an inch or so

oh crap now another is doing it

I need a quick fix, how can I save him!!
hes my favorite one!

I had one out of my IT pack randomly die. Did a 50% water change and no more losses yet. Check your water parameters maybe, I think a spike in nitrate could knock a young IT out pretty easily... especially if your tank is fully cycled. Parasite is a possibility too.. you could always add salt if your worried.

damn, I cant find my test kit or salt
the biggest two are very active and fine
just did a 50% water change and upped the temp
Ill make a run in the morning to the pet shop

this sucks that my two favorite died

his gills look extremely red, is this normal when dying? or could it be something else?

That's bad. Might want to post in the illness section. I don't know much about that particular ailment, but I'd assume redness is either irritation or blood. Might be a parasite in the gills, gill flukes or something idk. Might want to add salt, definitely post in the illness section.

I think it's gill parasite....happens to a lot of young dats....
