baby indos with large clown loaches

Is it safe to have large clown loaches (4-6'') as tank mates with 2.5-3.5'' indos?

I wouldn't risk it with clown loaches that big. Would just take one suck from one of them to remove both eyes from the little dats.

My dats are 2.5 inches now, but when I first got them my loaches were a little bit bigger, and there was a little bit of chasing around the tank.
