Hello all. I just recently brought a baby 5" jar. I have noticed he's very hyper, and seems stressed. I see him bump into things inside the tank, and some of his scales are damaged. Here's a short video of him. W

I keep the tempature at 78F. If there anything I'm doing wrong? This very same tank used to house my silver arowana and he never seems so hyper. And he grow from baby to 16" in just 5 months.

May take awhile for your new jar to get used to the new tank. You can help by providing some floating plants for cover and to dim the lights.

It's been 3 days. Hopefully that's the case. Anyone know what cause his scale like that? I don't see the red parrot bother him at all, and I don't see him bump into anything. Weird... He came from Lfs scale looked perfect.

at 5" i would keep him with a bottom dweller not a cichlid... i tried a combo of 3" GT for a day and took the GT off at the first sign of aggression... my grow out tank has Jar 5.5" two raphaels and 2 senegals...

your aro just adapting to new environment, try to cover whole tank w/ newspaper and dim the light for couple days to let it settle down.
hope it works bro.
