Baby Jardini DE...?

Inside a Bottle
My baby Jardini has started to get DE on its left eye... I had him for about a month.. Grown from 2.5"-3" to about 5-6".. I think its becoz of over feeding.. His diet consits of prawns, pellets and beef heart.. and its colour has improved greatly.. Almost all its pearls are red.. Any Suggestions..?

I thought of cutting down feeding to once every 2 days..compared to every few hours...(throwing a few pellets in)...

Any Suggestions..?

does he bang around the tank walls
because my jar got DE when he started really banging around the tank
 
weird maybe beef heart has more fat?
 
oh nvm do you wash the prawns well? and did it jump or hit its eye when you didnt notice?
 
prawn and pellets are pretty lean, not sure about beef heart though. Even if beefheart is fat and assuming DE is from fat build up, a week isnt enough time to do it. I agree on the head trauma theory. I think DE comes from repeated head trauma.
 
pics? i've honestly never seen a jar with DE.
 
my jardini has slight DE b/c it keeps JUMPING!!!!
 
Mine has never banged itself of tried to escape.. He's pretty calm.. Could be due to some genetic defect.. or inbreeding..
