Baby jardini. Is this normal?

I have a 4 inch baby jardini and it just sits and chills on top of some rocks. The rocks are piled up half way tho. Is this normal? I never had a baby jardini.

okay, so i just shut off my lights.. now its pretty active. maybe i had the lights on for too long?

when ever i turn on my light my jardini goes to the bottom and wont move until i turn it off

That is normal. They are very shy at that age. Just wait until it get to 12", everything will change.

I've heard stories lol. I'm gonna try some datnoids or clown loaches. If that dont work out in the future, I guess it's gonna be a ray.

having some shade on one side where the rocks are will help a lot... i have a 4" Jar got him when he was 2" he was just the same then i put him in a small tank with lots of plants and now hez growing in a 30G with lights on one side only... he easily gets spooked, just avoid suddent movements... give him time he will come around soon and start showing his glimpses of aggression like mine does...
