My 2 month old 2inch baby Jacks just layed eggs and they look fertilized I had no idea they could breed so young
but after doing research I learned its pretty common is their anyone in southern Ontario that would be interested in some fry?
Has anyone else here had baby JD breed?

tlindsey tlindsey Thanks! do you know what a reasonable price would be for fry?

Tbh you won't get much for them from your LFS but personally was given store credit for fry. You could try and sell them here in the Marketplace Forum. Also duanes duanes recommend that joining a fish club in your area would be a solution and I agree with him. Cichlid Association's have swap meets monthly in my area.

Also the fry will need to be a inch or bigger so for the local fish store's before they will except any. Jack Dempsey are pretty common unless they are a rare specie of JD.

Forgot to mention to cull your fry before you take any for sale or trade. Cull means to remove the deformed or defected fry. I personally bought defected fry from someone and vowed not to do business with the person ever again.

congrats!
