This is the third day i have him and the 2nd day that he is not eating ( figured id let him settle down the first day) i have him in a little seperate containter with water ofc in a dim light setting, the meal worms are really tiny already but i just cut them up to see if he will take now

Any suggestions? And any clue how long he can go w/o food?

He still has his little egg tooth

Baby turtles still require adequate tank setting, and lighting.. and by container, I am assuming it's not an aquarium? Could you post pictures or give more accurate description?

Taken from Austin's Turtle Page Website:

They do well on a diet of ‘whole-prey’ foods like worms, fish & crickets augmented by a quality commercial turtle food such as Mazuri or ReptoMin. Veggies should be offered, although some hatchlings do not take to them until they are older. Youngsters may or may not take to commercial foods. If they do not take in food known to contain Vitamin D3 (typically commercial foods), be sure to provide UV-B lighting. Bloodworms are fine for coaxing reluctant feeders but nutritionally insufficient for a staple. Finely shopped small earthworm bits, freshly killed & crushed guppies & small feeder crickets & grasshoppers are fine choices. Hatchlings are shy & fragile so don’t try feeding outside the tank until at least several weeks of well-being feeding in the tank (if you do this at all).

Does he have a basking platform with a basking bulb or heat emitter? I know 10 gallons are kinda hard to add anything to regarding turtles.

What are you keeping the water temp at?

If you have black worms, I think that would do the trick, or even baby/small earthworms.

Sorry for the misleading way i stated that. He is in a seperate container for feeding.

Its fine.. I would feed him in the 10 gallon. Don't take him out for feeding. He could be really stressed.

Your basking temp needs to be high 80's to low 90's and your water temp needs to be at least 80.

Good Luck!
