Baby Peacock Bass HITH help

Dear friends,

Yesterday, I received a baby peacock bass with Hole in the head disease. For treatment, I have checked old posts and could only find two solutions for this issue:

1. Performing water changes of 25% ( day by day )
2. healthy diet plan.

Is there anything else I should do to get this fish healthy?

Currently, my hospital tank is fully occupied with Angelfish fry, so I had to add the baby peacock bass to my main baby Bass tank. Is there a risk of this disease transferring to the others as well?

Personally never heard of HITH transferring to another fish.
You will have to be consistent with the wc's .

As noted above, varied diet, clean environment + food laced with metronidazole.
I healed up a Jack Dempsey simply by upping the weekly water change volume to 50% .
As far as I know, HITH is fish specific & is not readily contagious.

Thank you, guys, for your valuable comments and suggestions. Now, he has grown quite big and is still in a dedicated grow-out tank receiving special care. I hope to move him to my larger tank soon.
