i got 4 baby red bellies and then i recently put them in a 30 gal tank, so when they get bigger ill gust put them in a bigger tank.

my question is since the first water change, i noticed that they are in the middle of the tank.

they are acting normal and the pump is 700 liters per hour....they have very small feeders that i have put in.

why are they staying in the middle and sometimes at the top of the water? is it normal?

cause when they are smaller in the 20 gal tank. they just swim in the bottom still acting normal....

my question to you is are they gulpin for air or just crusing like an arowana would ?? ,my experiance though not with piranha yet is that a confident fish will swim the whole tank.., also they are growing and mybe very hungray ... :D

baby p's need to be feed many times a day prolly 5-6 times.....also p's are bottom swimmers try putting in an air stone to put some more oxygen in the water
