Hello, im new to this forum. I got myself 2 baby red tail catfish about 3 inches long. One of them wasnt eating and they look very lazy. Is it because of thw water quality? Also their currently in a 35 gallon tank

Can be due to bad water quality. Would start by checking ur water. What are u feeding? How often are u feeding? What’s ur water change schedule like? Tank is cycled? Future plans for the rtc?

i got them at sunday, once a day with sinking pellets. I havent done water changes yet because its still a new tank, maybe once a week. Future plans gonna get around a 500 gallon

Likely getting used to the tank. Would suggest checking that water ASAP.

Is the tank cycled? Do you know how to cycle a tank?

Great. Do you own a liquid test tube kit? We'd need to start by measuring the ammonia and nitrite levels in your fish tank.

try feed them live blood worms if you can get them. i had 9 of them and i power fed with live blood worms and it grew really fast i see them putting on size every weeks. but down side is that after the only thing my catfish will eat is live blood worms nothing else lol.
