baby redtail catfish (2.5inch)

Always so cute and small looking when they are young :D

I recently got myself a new RTC aswell.
I currently have a whisker problem with him, I read many threads about cuting them and that they fall of if they are broken etc.

However in all of those scenarios the whisker is "broken" around the middle.
But in my case the whisker is standing UPWARDS and BACKWARDS all the way from the "head".
Way back, like 45 degrees back, and he is unable to move it down.

He seems very healthy and eats like hell.

Cut or leave it be? Would appreciate some sort of tips! Thank you all.
 
well this is my first redtail so i dont know what to do so if you want help ask some 1 who knows a little more than me or something not me and ill post weekly videos of him to show his growth and how big is your RTC
 
you do realize you need pretty much a pond right? they get huge fast..

He will out grow the 10 gallon in a couple of months ..
 
i have a 6ft tank to im going to put him in it when hes 8inchs so he doesnt get killed by my RTC x TSN that is 8.5ichs now
 
I would say more like maybe a month seeing their growth rate. A cheap solution would be a 100 stock tank. That should last a little while while the pond is getting put in.
 
In 3 months mine reached a foot long and i got him at under 2 inches. Whats the width of ur 6ft tank?
