baby severum nipping

I have a baby severum that continues to nip my discus fins, anything to do about it? my discus are like 5" diameter and baby severum is .5"

take the sev out, put up a divider, or don't worry about it. those are the only options you have.

Your Severum will do more damage as it gets older .

I have had pretty mild sevs before. but tend to be more aggressive toward other sevs. severums are sometimes called poor mans discus

Hi.. I had a juvie rottk sev, Rambo, that was just beautiful but at about 3 1/2 inches he decided he liked to nip my angelfishes fins.. I tried redecorating, times out etc nothing worked.. he had to get rehomed.. If I had to choose between a sev and my discus there would be no choice.. Find him another tank with tankmates that don't have a lot of finage. Even if he doesn't hurt the discus the stress will cause them harm.. Good luck Sue
