im not sure i havnt done them yet but as as i get home from work ill let ypu know but ive been doing them every two three days and they have been coming up find i did jut strt using strips which could be the problem but ill deff let you know later tonight and ill post pics

A lot of people say the test strips are pointless because they are so inaccurate, I have never used them so I can't comment but I thought it was worth mentioning to you. From what you described it sounds like a fungal/ bacterial infection, i have heard they are very vulnerable when they are small so the water quality needs to be perfect as you can get it. Also what was the temp? I'v heard people recommend 80f when they are small. How long had you had him? Does he have tank mates?

Sounds like the white stuff was his slime coat, seems like there are a few issues here.

Do you feed him feeders?
