About a week back I got 2 baby silver Aros about 3" and they were healthy as can be. They were really active and ate like crazy and I thought these were true fighters. Unfortatley last night they caught fin Rot and got really week that the filter is strong enough to suck them :nilly: SO I did a 50% water change added some salt and melafix and added extra air stones in there. Anything else I should do i dont want to lose them :( Any tips?

I hate to give you false hope, but when I was new to the hobby I had a baby aro about that size that got a REALLY bad case of ich and fin-rot at the same time, and he survived it. All the other fish in the tank died, but he pulled through. I used raised temp, salt, a VERY low dosage of rid-ich, and eventually mela-fix when the ich was gone.

nothing else you can do just hope for the best.. I dont think there are any meds for fin rot..

Increase your water temperature to 84-86F. Do daily water changes of about 25% and continue to add salt after the WC until the symptoms subside.

The strange thing is that i bought my Jardini at that size and he had no problems and he is 1' right now but when I always try to start with a Silver small thy always get sick and later on die.....:( Are jardinis more stronger then Silvers? like in health wise

Sorry for your losses. Personally I think silvers at that size are a bit tougher than Jardinis of the same size.
