Hello,

I have a baby silver arowana, I've had it for a month now. The first week she was eating lakes and feeder guppies. Then I stopped the guppies and moved into frozen bloodworms and crickets.

Well it loves crickets, and bloodworm if they stay floating it'll eat them, if not during the night it'll go to the bottom and eat them all. It looks good, fat and big now :D.

Everytime I throw hikari floating sticks or dried shrimp it'll eat it and throw it back...

How can I train it to eat pallets, btw it also loves mealworms.

Tank mantes: two Baby ID sharks.

Thanks,

IMO, you'll wang to feed less of the things it likes to make him more dependent for the Hikari. I'm training my baby lei and always start with pellets, then followed by something I know he eat. This has worked well as he eats pellets, then I feed something else to make sure he's full...

You may aswell start to gutload (feed) the mealworms with pellets to get your aro used to the taste of them , you could also try feeding bit of prawn /shrimp either seasoned in crushed pellets or stuffed with pellet , this gets them used to the texture of the pellet . the other option is to starve your aro into pellets but I'd wait till he gets a little bigger to be on the safe side , it won't starve t death before eartig survival instinct kicks In eventually as long as you don't cave in and feed him whilst trying this process
