find zfoster22, hes had some before and he knows how to catch 'em

First off, sturgeon are SUPER HARD to catch, unless, your on one of those ice trips, second of all, to my knowledge they're Cites listed, and therefore illegal to keep, and third of all, they get BIG.

If you want a sturgeon, and are sure you can take of it, you get them, but not the ones around here. You can order a European sturgeon or somethin' though.

Dude, under no circumstances should any baby sturgeon be removed from the wild. All of the sturgeon we talk about here should be captive bred, to me only the shovelnose comes close to being a suitable aquarium fish. Shovelnose are still fished for in a few limited areas but still if you want a sturgeon buy one from a pet store or fish hatchery. To catch a baby sturgeon from the wild for an aquarium specimen should be illegal even if it isn't. Buy from captive bred specimens or not at all. I love sturgeons, I want a chance to keep another one but I would never remove one from the wild to do this, the loss of the sturgeon population was and is a much greater loss than most of us can ever know. Besides just being a beautiful and ancient animal they are amazingly good to eat. Killing an adult sturgeon for it's roe is criminal in my mind but I am in the minority on this. I don't have a problem with keeping any captive bred fish as long as you don't release it into the wild when you are done with it.
