I have a 50-60gl corner tank that is 24"tall (it's 1/4 of a circle type of tank).

Will 2 65watt pc 10K bulbs work? I have the light on for about 6th a day n planning to add small smooth gravel. I don't want to mess w/co2 n tried doing some research under baby tears n the scientific name in the sticky on page 3. Didn't find much but it said it's a beginner plant so I thought I'd give it a shot :D

Before I buy, will my set up work?

:( I was referring to the Dwarf B.Tears, boo hoo :D

Wait...why would it need CO2 overnight? Don't all plants use respiration (produce CO2) overnight when there is no light for photosynthesis?

I have what was given to me as dwarf clover, I'll post pictures. What is this that I have, for anyone that's savvy with plant identification/nomenclature.

I was told this wouldn't do well without CO2, but I have it in a highly planted tank, and it's thriving. I do not have any CO2 supplementation. They do seem to be doing a lot better since I have started adding Flourish to the tank.

^ He didn't say "overnight"

Haha no worries.

I suck at plant IDs, but I'm thinking glossostigma elatinoides?

I asked the person who gave it to me, he says Marsalia sp. But I looked on the google machine, and it looks to me more like Glossostigma.

Anyway, ignore me, didn't mean to jack the thread. Perhaps one of these would be suited for your tank instead though :)

I have seen someone grow a nice carpet of dwarf baby tears with excel only. But this was a small 5.5 gallon tank. If you use excel in your tank it will be expensive. I don't think the plant can grow without some kind a C02. Try looking for easier carpet plants.
