Apparently they can be very sensitive to overfeeding thats why i chose to get a bigger one,you could pm t1karmann as hes had some experience with these.
I've grown a few out that small. I started them in a 10g tank with a hob aquaclear filter. and inside the tank a small powerhead with a sponge on it so they don't get sucked to it.
Fed live blackworms 2 times a day in small amounts and for waterchanges I did maybe a small 10% change once a month but added a couple quarts of water every other day due to evaporation.
i bought a 2.5 incher last month and he is doing great. hes probably a little over 4 inches right now. He is lazy! He does not move and I havent seen him eat yet. I am feeding him guppies right now and frozen mysis and stuff like that. Doing great. Once I get my camera I will post some pics. Beautiful fish. I say if you want one get one. Just make sure you keep it happy and in clean water.
what if you put two in one tank with a divider to prevent them from fighting. I have 2 in a 75 gallon with a divider but one eats and the other only eats once every 3-4 days.
