Baby Wolf Ciclids

I just went to the aquarium specialty store near my house and they have always had this really nice looking Wolf Ciclid, hes the owners fish named Ike. They mated him once again and I managed to snag 2 of his babies!!

Im excited! they are cute little fry. I have them set up in a 12G until they will be safe enough to move to my bigger tanks. And all to themselves except 1 dojo.

This is my first experience with a Wolf Ciclid, as well as a Ciclid in general for the most part.

Any tips on keeping these guys happy to old age?

get a 180g if you want to give them ample size to remain in for a single/pair. Unless it's a 300g you probly won't have tank mates when they pass 17". Awsome fish. I hope to do them in awhile after I retire and am not moving all over the place.

man you shoulda looked in the northwest classified section, im giving away 13 dovii. eventually the dovii is going to need a huge tank to itself, as their extremely agro.

tank size is not a problem, in the future i will be aquiring a 300 gal, and a 210, once they get passed over to me.

And the building of a 1300, pending.

haha, and i definetly noticed that they are pretty aggro. when i went by the fathers tank he just about flipped the lid and looked as if he wanted to break the tank to get to me haha.


sounds like an interesting fish, i figured id try.

Lots of food and even more water changes LOL You need to get them growing at a good pace if you want to turn them into a true monster
