well after taking a 6 month break from fish keeping after looseing all my fish in my 1700 gallon indoor pond due to a glass thermometer breaking and dumping all the mercury in to the water.I just felt like giving up. It was a real big hit to the heart. Cause after loosing my water pet that i built the indoor pond for tigger my Rtc. kinda felt like it was time to call fish keeping quits. and so i ripped down the indoor pond laid my big cats to rest in the back yard. selling most of my tanks only keeping two my 90 gallon and 500 gallon. I just recently found a 300 gallon 72x36x24 for a good price and for some reason ended up buying it. took a day trip with a buddy the girlfriend and her sisters boy friend to pick the tank up.So we get it home i ended up re-sealing it to be safe built the stand and found my self with 2 big tanks with nothing in them. went for a drive to a few lfs to find nothing that i wanted i.e rtcs big cats GG ect. set all my tanks back up and send the girlfriend off to go fish shopping with me. ended up with a kinda weird combo, two oscars, 3 convicts,3 buttkickers,6 dovi,1 jd,1 green terror,1 venustus,1jag,1 red devil and two pima that are coming in on friday all to be put in there new home the 300 gallon. kinda funny how quick the spark came back to me like i never stopped in the first place.But i also think i owe a big thanks to a few people my girlfriend,buddy jerry and Flagtail.they all told me one thing witch seems to have helped ( dont give up ). Slowly getting most of the fish i wanted now thanks to tips from guys on mfk. and lfs for ordering my two pimas for me. just a few to get now. I i feel a monster tank build coming on. heres a few pics of my little fish room going and few pics of the fish.
