Under Water Bolling Lane
I have a small 2" endi. Its in a grow out tank all by itself. It keeps floating to the surface. It looks like its tail end is where the bubble is at. It can swim down if it wants. It happened after i had fed it a giant pile of live blood worms. I haven't tried to feed it since.

Do you think this is bloat or back end float disease (as mentioned in the sticky)?

Even if he has a bubble some where inside him it will eventually come out. I would wait a couple more days to be worried. But if he just has his butt in the air and you see him at the bottom a coupple times he's fine. But if he' struggling to go to the bottom then he probably has a bubble. But like probass said Juvi polys love to just float round it's what they do in the wild.

juvie bichirs (2 to 5 inches) tend to float on the surface on the tank ALOT. My bichirs used to scare the crud out of me because they always lyed on the surface motionlessly, usually at an angle.
they will always lie at the bottom once they they get bigger.

Juvies always do that.
