Today I picked up 30 young clowns to put in my 2000L tank, so long Amazon theme!! After not keeping clowns for around 7 years I'm pretty excited about this group. No in tank pics yet, they're still in quarantine with a precautionary dose of meth blue. Looking back at my old group of clowns in this video from 2009, it seems the new lot has a much higher percentage of "oddball" patterns. I know many people like the oddballs, could it be that breeders are specifically selecting them to add to breeding groups to increase the likelihood of unusual patterns, or is it just natural variation being expressed without the pressures of natural selection?
