I sold my 16" clown knife and went to the lfs today. The last few times I've been there, they've had a trio of rbp's that have caught my eye, I just didn't have a tank for them. Well, I have a 55 now, and wanted piranhas again, so we picked up one of them (I wish I'd had $60 for the whole group). He's currently stalking everything that moves in the tank while my massive silt issue sorts itself out. I really should've left the river rock alone! lol I haven't measured him, but he's about 7" give or take if I had to guess. I'm so happy!

Piranhas are messy and produce mega waste! Make sure to change 40% water per week and vac also!

Rbp don't like bright lite, so take a bulb out or aim it different. They also prefer cover, plants and driftwood are popular. Have fun with your fish I have 5 and love em! If you ever considering adding more buy atleast 2-3 and a 75gal or bigger. Although u could maybe get away with 3 in a 55 for awhile, but the water will get nitrates quicker. Temp is preffered at 78-82° just make sure its STABLE!

I've had RBP's before. All of this is old hat to me! ^_~ I put tape on the window under the light, it blocks a good portion of the light. I use blackwater extract, and use lots of cover to make my skittish guy feel more secure.

Cool fish.

As soon as my tank settles, I'll try getting pictures up.
