I recently took my oldest daughter to a staple aquarium shop in Cincinnati and decided to get back into the hobby! I’ve been out of it for so long I had to freshen up on my knowledge and spent tons of time reading threads and decided I might as well join!!
Current tanks
125 gallon freshwater with two flowerhorn fry little overkill I agree
40 gallon freshwater with baby Fahaka Puffer and tiger barbs I know he will eventually need something bigger!!! But for now he’s thriving

I know right she was asking what I use to have and how many tanks so I went thru the spill and started showing her smaller versions of my old fish and low and behold I pulled up a 40 from the basement and cleaned all my old stuff and then I browsed OfferUp and letgo and got a free 125 with all the equipment the bugs got me again

Welcome back op

I was out of the hobby for a long time. My kids are what drove me back too. Just allot more fun sharing it with them.

Welcome

I have a lot of fun with my son and my fish as well. Although, his taste in fish at 5 years old is definitely not what I particularly like. I have a 29 gallon glofish tank setup in his room and he loves it. I’m sure he will eventually grow out of that “painted” fish look, but for now we have fun with them.

I also have a 220 setup that uses a 55 gallon sump. It houses three fire eels, two vulture catfish, two peacock bass, and an endli bichir. Eventually, the stocking will have to be dwindled down in it, but for now I just feed every three days and do a 90% plus water change every weekend.

Btw, I’m up here in Dayton, Springboro to be more precise. It’s definitely worth a trip up to Gerbers in Morain if you ever have time to make it up some afternoon.
