I got a new stand and top for my 55g and set it up as a cichlid grow out tank..it has an ehiem pro on it with 2 4 foot HO-T5 1 10000k and 1 actinic.

I am clearing out my 170g predato take for my cichlids and am picking up a 125g in the next week or so that will house cichlids also....I like the predator fish but the cichlids are more active and colorful and I can do more aquascaping for them instead of having all open space for a few big fish

If you like predatory fish and cichlids, just get predatory cichlids...like D. compressiceps or other similar haps

Ya, if you like predatory cichlids and malawi cichlids, haps are great. I had a Dimidiochromis compressiceps, most the time he'd bite the heads off his prey.

D. Compressiceps are known to be cruel to their prey, they will also catch, cripple, and then leave their prey to die. They do so with amazing speed
