After a long while of not having fish walking around my Local fish store i decided to start keeping fish again im gonna reset up my 25 gallon tank. to start a fish cycle all i need is a filter at 1st?
 
Depends on what method your going to do. I would suggest a fishless cycle its easier on you and the fish, for that you will need pure ammonia or atleast an ammonia source.

You need the filter and ammonia which you can usually get at a hardware store the link will tell you what to look for when you go get the ammonia.

cool so i can save a few bucks haha..i plan on getting the tank setup on friday hopefully i just had some foot surgrey done so i think i should be good
 
would it be a bad idea 2 set up a 30gallon tank with a mesh lid that would be used for a lizard tank? could i cut the wholes i need for the filter and just pop the light on top? the tank would be used for 1 or 2 cray fish
