I am looking to start building this background soon, but i was wondering if you guys have any ideas that may work instead of gutters.

I would love to find something that is larger that way the caves would be larger, and i would not have to worry about attaching a million gutters together.

This is for a 90 gallon

large diamiter pvc, or bent sheet metal..... you could even use small square bottles (smart water)

they have square pvc in the form of fence posts, i used 4" pvc and siliconed river rocks to it for my 30 gallon, I would have used a smaller diameter in hindsight, but I still love the way it turned out. I drilled small holes in the pvc and attached using zip ties.

Does PVC naturally float? If so, do the rocks alone way it down?

with all the rocks, it does not float, i guess cellcore would float, but never tryed schedule 40
