i wanna know how do u guys that have a higher than 2ft tank do this?
i cant find any background from the LFS thats higher than 2 ft. so what i did is i bought 2x the same background and connected them, however i can see the line where the 1st background ended (1st pic)... oh well.

btw, i know i can just use a black bg but i want something like an amazon flooded river look.
on the back of this bg im currently using is like a small 3d bricks (2nd pic) that i can connect without noticing where it ended but i liked the tree and rocks design more.

what u guys think? use the 3d bricks or stick to what i did?

i like the first one better, the aquascaping is just much better, and substrate always helps the look.

I kind of like the brick. It would be interesting to see with some substrate though. When it comes to backgrounds I am pretty boring though... I always just paint them black.

:iagree: I'm with you, I plan on going black with my new 150. What kind of spray paint do you use? I mean does any kind work or do i need special stuff for glass?

OH and I would go with the first background hightimez

I just painted the outside of the glass with standard laytex paint and a sponge roller. Two coats seemed to do the trick.

oh, I had a friend use spray paint and it came out ok.

And I supose you would go with a flat black apposed to a gloss?

I would go flat black... but I don't see anything wrong with going gloss.
