Well I'm gettin tired of lookin at the terror/acara tank. As in looking through the tank and seeing the other tanks and seeing the corn fields outside the nearby window. So I was thinking of getting some black construction paper or something. Preferaby black though to go around the back of the tank.

And I don't like them cheesy backgrounds like at fish stores at all, their just are dum in my opinion. But does anyone know what I could put on it. And for the people who ahve backgrounds do you all put it just on the back or on all 3 sides. I think they will like it more with just black and just more secluded plus I wnat more light to actually go in the tank.

Before I set my tanks up, I use a sponge and swirl black, gray & brown enamal paint on the outside of the black glass in cirlces. Hides the 'dreaded brown diatom algae' that shows up the 1st 6 months of a new tank.
There's also some really cool looking plastic sheeting that's made to look like stained glass and different designs I saw at Home Depot. Plus the static cling window tint at WalMart.

And you just spray paint the tank that's it. Well hell seems easy enough.

Yeah, that is How I do mine.I normally use flat black

I use flat black enamel paint also, except I use the rustoleum. But I find it easier to use a roller, putting at least three coats on. Then you don't have to deal with messy overspray, getting it on places that you don't want it.

I have spray painted my tanks but by far the coolest stuff to use it the textured stuff. Here are some pictures of it on the back of my tank. The texture blends well with pool filter sand.
