Background Help!

I want to make my first DIY Backround...

My question is ... Is there a plaster I can cover the Styrofoam with that can be painted, then Coated over the painted areas with a west system type apoxy?

Main question is the Plaster????

Plaster needs to be heavily waterproofed. I made a background using plumber's bond. It trowels like plaster, dries like plaster, and is only slightly heavier than plaster. And, it's waterproof with an elastic texture so, it'll stand up to mild abuse.

What about painting?

What about it? Plumber's bond can be painted just as plaster can. I've used plumbers bond for decades as indoor stucco. The ridges are more chip-proof as compared to stucco. They also hold paint very well.
