Bacteria or fungus

Do you guys think this guy has a bacterial or fungal infection? What would you recommend as a safe in tank treatment since I have a Lima shovelnose and a syno cat? Sorry the pics aren’t great but he doesn’t stay still much. There’s some white on one pectoral fin with redness at the base

Hard to make out. Check ur water quality. Try and get some up close pics. In meantime try some salt 1 tsp per g and increase ur water changes.

Thanks, I was thinking of doing a salt bath. Is that ok and for the salt do you recommend marine salt or aquarium salt?

If u try a salt bath then aquarium salt will do.
