Bacterial, Fungal, Parasitic? Help appreciated!

Here's a close up of my Lima...the white spots look slightly raised and like a series of smaller white spots but doesn't look like ich or velvet.

Is he is with any aggressive fish? What are the tank mates?

Tank mates are Alabama Spotted Bass, Swordspine Snook, Tire Track Eel, and a Chaestoma sp. of pleco.

Looks like a scuffle took place. Any stringy, cotton like growth? I cannot tell from the photo

i hd this problem with some of my past bettas he had white spots im not really sure but try adding alittle salt to your lima's water im sorry thats all i know that helped my bettas

No stringy things. Here's what I did being that I didn't know the origin of this ailment:

I did a 12hr treatment of half dose treatments for all 3 spaced out 12 hrs using carbon filter in between to remove previous treatment. I did half dose because he obviously has no scales. I'm happy to say that whatever the problem was is getting better. Not sure which treatment helped....oh...and I did a 50% waterchange in between treatments as well to make sure the previous treatment would not adversely affect the next.

Glad to say he's on the road to recovery.
