Hey guys, recently got in a new monster ansorgii. Everyone came in nice and healthy, but the ansorgii had a dull line running around the back of his head, looked like he was missing some slime. The spot is starting to turn red over the past 2 days.

I assumed it happened in transport, as I had him shipped. The others that came in with him are fine. Seller is very credible, more reason to think it happened during shipment.

Does it look like a recovering wound or possible bacterial infection to you guys? Or a wound that is becoming infected?

78 degrees
0 ammonia
0 trites
<20 trates

180g, no decor, bare bottom, a few other bichirs as tank mates.

If it's becoming red, it's probably becoming infected. Dose with some salt and melafix/ other bacterial meds. Monitor him over the next few days.
