I was wondering do yall think haveing a 5" wc frontosa is a bad idea in my male hap/peacock tank
Heres my stock
1 wc frontosa 5"
1 lemon jake 4"
1 ahli 4"
1 blue dolpin 4"
1 electric yellow 4"
1 red empress 2"
1 gombe 2"
1 red jacob 1 1/2"
1 albino sunburst 1 1/2" Only the dolpin picks on him since he went wild the other night and became the dom male
Bad idea?

As long as he's bigger than the rest, they won't chase him. The little ones may nip on his fins though. I have a front in my hap/peacock tank, and he's the king.

i havent had my fronto to long maybe to weeks think he just needs time to kno he can be the boss. The dolpin is the one being the bully. And the dolpin was the calm one untill a few days ago he just snaped and went crazy and became dom

When I had a tank the dominant fish was always changing when I would add new fish. I have had a few peacocks with fronts before that were larger... it was fine...but the fronts got a lot of fin nip. I personally wouldnt mix them again. I know I have seen a tank that had a lot of malawis in it with 2 frontosa and they front's were very stressed out, so I would keep an eye on it to make sure the front doesnt get stresesd out.

What I am curious about is how big is your tank?

I have a 6" Front. in my Hap/ Peacock tank. I also have a 6" male C.Moorii along with Electric Yellows & 2 male Lake Victorians. They share a 150 gallon tank. I got my Frontosa at 21/2 inches. At that size he was chased more. He is one of my favorite fish. At 6" there is mutual respect in my tank. It is normal to have flashing , displaying & fish defending territories in a predomoinately male tank. lol Enjoy your Front.:headbang2
