I'm sure a 1000 people will come on a say I could have told you that, but if it keeps one person from making the same mistake it will be worth it. Several pieces of driftwood, multiple wood munching plecos, and light colored sand are a cleaning nightmare. Do not let this happen to you. Change now while there is still hope.

Actually this kind of setup is not a bad one. Placement of the driftwood, IE behind plants, rocks etc would hide the chunks of driftwood.

The problem is all the pleco poop from chewing on all the wood. And it shows real well against light sand.

If you have decent filtration the poop shouldn't be a problem if your wood eating plecos are just small ones, at least i don't have a problem with this, and i have 7 clown plecos in one tank! Just get more filters/better filtration.
