Woke up this morning to my 15" pleiozona, my 13" broko, and my 12" gold oscar dead on my floor! The tank was covered by glass lids with no openings to jump out and have been in there over a year. The must of jumped into the lids hard enough to open them enough to get out. They were still closed and my azuls and other broko are fine. I am so upset. RIP

Thats real bad man.. sorry to hear.

Im intrigued rhough... my cocer glasses slide open and are held in place within plastic trims.. no amount of impact from jumping could slide them open.

How are your cover glasses secured in place?

Sorry for your loss, my 15 inch aro tries to escape every time my 1' chocolate cichlid nips at him. I put 5 pound wheits on the lid so he doesn't escape. Every once in a while I still hear loud bumps but he's starting to realize it hurts when he jumps.

Sorry to hear about your losses!

I have a tank with 4 Gar in it ranging from 12"-18". The 12" Gar has jumped out of the tank 2 times...but luckily I was there to put him back in both times. Since then I've had to weigh down my glass lids with rather large rocks. So far so good.

I'm sorry bro. I'm interested as to why all 3 decided to jump

yeah me to, all three at once is just crazy! My wife said she heard something in the middle of the night but though it was outside. I got weights on the lids now and going to build a canopy. But i might just sell off the azuls n broko and but my growouts in the big tank. It looks empty with just 3 fish in there :(
