I had to leave my beloved fish for a wedding in Ohio. So the I am supposed to fly out I Do my normal 50% water change on all my tanks. Feed the aros a little more heavy, since my brother says he will only be coming over to feed them every other day.
So the first night I get to Ohio my brother calls me and tells me my large silver aro is dead.
I was like WHAT!!! he was fine when I left.
I just don't understand why he died. I changed nothing with the tank and he was very healthy. I had raised him from about 3".
THEN to top it off, there was that massive earthquake that caused a statewide power outage. I had to scramble and try to get ahold of my brother (some phone service was knocked out) and have him get up to the house and hook up the generator.
By the time he got to the house, it had been about 3-4 hours without electricity.
He was being a dick cause he didn't want to take the time to make sure everything was okay.
Luckily I got ahold of a friend that also keeps fish, and he was like... Just tell me what you need me to do. He even went back to my house once the power came back on.
Thank goodness there was no more losses.
